MEDICARE INSURANCE

GET THE SUPPLEMENTAL COVERAGE YOU NEED

Extend Your Medicare Coverage.

Medicare supplemental insurance is a great way to get the coverage you need, but weighing the options can be confusing. We’re here to help! We will explain your Medicare options from Parts A, B, C, and D Plans, and the costs for each. We explain and help make sense of the Medicare maze. Best of all, our advice is free.

What is Medicare Supplement Insurance?

Medicare supplement (Medigap) insurance, sold by private companies, can help pay some of the health care costs that Medicare doesn’t cover, like copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

If you have Original Medicare and you buy a Medicare Supplement policy, Medicare will pay its share of the Medicare-approved amount for covered health care costs. Your Medigap policy pays its share.

You Have Questions. We Have Answers.

Can you help me select Medicare coverage?2018-09-09T15:55:57+00:00

Yes! We often help individuals and families find the best plan for their circumstances and budget. Selecting coverage yourself through Medicare and the carriers that offer Medicare supplement insurance can be confusing. Let us take the guesswork out of the process and save you time.

  • The rate you pay is the same whether you call us or do it yourself.
  • If you want to do it yourself, we can give you tips on how to proceed.
  • Or call us or email us using the form to the right.
Are your quotes no obligation?2018-09-23T17:40:41+00:00

Yes! Our quotes are always provided with no obligation.

But remember: health insurance prices are regulated, so there is no difference between the price you pay by going direct vs what you pay by going through us. The difference is that our quotes are based on years of experience navigating the confusing benefit packages that are offered through all the various carriers.

Our advice is free. Take advantage of our experience to help you get the best combination of benefits for your unique needs.

What fees do you charge?2018-09-23T17:40:51+00:00

None! Since insurance prices are regulated, there is no difference between buying your policy online or direct, or going through us. You pay the same rate per month. The only difference is that our years of experience help you obtain the best coverage for your individual or family needs — and our advice and counsel is free. Call us or book an appointment online and see for yourself.

Learn More about Medicare Coverage

Medicare Part A is the hospital insurance coverage that Medicare provides.

Medicare Part A covers inpatient hospital stays, care in a skilled nursing facility, hospice care, and some home health care.

Medicare Part B coverage is the medical insurance provided by Medicare.

Medicare Part B covers certain doctors’ services, outpatient care, medical supplies, and preventive services.

Medicare Part C coverage is called Medicare Advantage Plans.

A Medicare Advantage Plan is a type of Medicare health plan offered by a private company that contracts with Medicare to provide you with all your Part A and Part B benefits. Medicare Advantage Plans include Health Maintenance Organizations, Preferred Provider Organizations, Private Fee-for-Service Plans, Special Needs Plans, and Medicare Medical Savings Account Plans. If you’re enrolled in a Medicare Advantage Plan, Medicare services are covered through the plan and aren’t paid for under Original Medicare. Most Medicare Advantage Plans offer prescription drug coverage.

Medicare Part D coverage is for your prescriptions.

Part D adds prescription drug coverage to Original Medicare, some Medicare Cost Plans, some Medicare Private-Fee-for-Service Plans, and Medicare Medical Savings Account Plans. These plans are offered by insurance companies and other private companies approved by Medicare. Medicare Advantage Plans may also offer prescription drug coverage that follows the same rules as Medicare Prescription Drug Plans.

Option 1: Medicare Supplemental & Part D

In order to enroll in a Medicare Supplemental insurance plan, you must also be enrolled in either Medicare Part A (hospital insurance) or Medicare Part B (medical insurance) or both.

With Medicare Part A and/or Part B, you may enroll in a supplemental insurance plan which provides coverage for things that Medicare Part A and B does not, such as copayments, coinsurance, and deductibles.

Please note that Medicare Supplemental plans do not provide prescription coverage. If you would like prescription drug coverage, you need to also enroll in a prescription drug plan, also known as a Medicare Part D plan. In order to do so, you must enroll in the prescription drug plan at the same time you enroll in your Medicare Supplemental insurance plan.

We can help you select the plan that is right for you.

Option 2: Medicare Advantage

Medicare Advantage plans are an all-in-one type of Medicare Supplemental plan that includes both Medicare Part A and Part B coverage, combined with Part D prescription coverage and often include additional benefits not covered by Medicare, like vision, hearing aids, and more. In order to gain the Medicare Part D prescription coverage, you need to enroll for that coverage at the same time as you enroll for Medicare Advantage.

If you are eligible for Medicare, you cannot be denied coverage under Medicare Advantage.

There are many plans from which you may choose for Medicare Advantage and the options can be confusing, especially with the additional benefits afforded for such things as vision, hearing, and more.

We can help you select the plan that is right for you.
